The Achievement of Ernest Hemingway

The famous American writer and journalist Ernest Hemingway won the Nobel Prize in literature in 1954. Within his writing period of 31 years, he wrote seven novels and six short story books.

Ernest Hemingway was born in Chicago in 1899. He first started writing as a journalist in school newspaper in 1916. Then he became a reporter. He participated in the World War-I as an ambulance driver in 1918.

But Hemingway returned home in 1919 because of injury. His famous novel ‘The Old Man and the Sea’ was published in 1952. This novel laureate committed suicide in 1961.
