Bangladeshi People’s Tragedy

Tragedy has shaped the lives of Bangladeshi people. In 1947, we got independence from the British colonial rule only to be oppressed again by the West Pakistani rulers for another 24 years.

After independence in 1971, Bangladesh emerged as a free nation burdened with its own natural calamities. Here, flood, poverty and rapid population growth are three ever present tragedies.

Moreover, political turmoils and corruption make the situation even worse.
