Jagadish Chandra Bose was born on 30 November, 1858 in present Munshiganj of Bangladesh and brought up traditionally.
He studied in a vernacular school first and then attended Cambridge. He returned to India in 1884 with B.Sc Degree. On May 1901, he presented his experiment regarding the feelings of plant at he Royal Society hall.
Bose wrote ‘Response in the Living and Non-living’ (1902) and ‘The Nervous Mechanism of Plants'(1926). In 1927, he founded the Bose Institute at Calcutta.
Jagadish Chandra was a fellow of the Royal Society.
